Awesome and Frightening Update

An update from the Efh-Office…

SKULLGOYLEY BUSINESS…

My old friend Dan Taylor has a project on Zuda this month called SKULLGOYLE and he needsĀ  your votes to get a nice kickstart at DC Comics. Plus, c’mon, I wouldn’t lie to you… SKULLGOYLE is friggin COOL! Plus, his name is SKULLGOYLE! The name alone beats the other concepts this month. So go there and cast a vote for my old pal, tell him I sent you and he will owe me many beers.

Flobotics…

I’ve had my head down working hard on stuff for the new Flobots tour before they go back out. Everything from new shirt designs, posters, banners for the stage, standees for the merch counter, flag bandana designs, site updates and about a zillion other things. They keep telling me how awesome I am, and I think I’m starting to believe it… just a little! Seriously, every band should have a ME working for them. I get things done way faster and awesomer. Or so I’m told.

Dude, they’re going to be on Conan O’Brien monday (look for Andy’s shirt too!) – How cool is that? Conan O’Brien. Wayback in the day, we always loved the musical guests on Conan. I’d sacrifice sleep to discover cool new bands on there, because that’s just how it was. (I remember when No Doubt was on his show when nobody had a clue who they were.) — Anyways, so that’s mostly what I’ve been doing. You can take a look at the October tour dates and poster here. Try to catch them if they are in your area, I promise you that it will be awesome.

A LUIGI UPDATE….

People are emailing me and asking me for updates on he Luigi situation. There has been no more contact with our anti-muslim / anti-Obama friend Luigi Raucci. (see original post)– I did just hear from someone who said he’s been emailing Lou back and forth and he’s worried about someone showing up at his house now –I’ve removed the comments that had his phone number and address because someone told me they emailed Lou back and forth and he’s worried about someone showing up to his house now. Again, let’s apply the common rule to this guy and not take it any further than just the internet hilarity that it currently is. I still reckon that if Luigi is ashamed of the things he wrote here on the blog, he should just come on the site and apologize. Maybe we can convert him? ;) Thanks!

Beaker Bongload on the Yirmumah forum got him this present for Christmas on behalf of all of us:

It’s getting Ugly…

I can feel the vibe here in Southwestern Pennyslvania that I just don’t like. People give me a quick look of digust or disdain when I’m out and they see my Obama button my coat. Especially older white males here. I think it’s kinda funny actually. Of course I do get thumbs up from people and smiles too, but they are few and far between. On Monday we had a Anti-Obama 3 page smear thing in our mail box. It had fake quotes from his books that I won’t even repeat, but were totally ridiculous. It was the usual “He’s really a Muslim! See!?” and even the “He secretly hates white people!” garbage. — I drove the stapled letter over to the Greensburg, PA Obama office just so they could pass it up the chain to know this is the sort of stuff being passed around here….. I hope it’s not working here… but I’m also afraid that it is. BUT I’m also pretty darn sure it doesn’t matter. Like Luigi Raucci who tried to spew this hateful garbage on my blog, they’ll all have to suck it up and move on when he’s the next president. I’m feeling pretty confident that Barack will win this one.

It’s getting super ugly out on the trail too. The McCain rallies with people yelling out “KILL HIM!” and “TERRORIST!” and “TREASON!” and more…. and am I the only one who found it weird that McCain mentioned “Rifle Shots” and then referred to Obama as “THAT ONE!” — the rifle shots statement was so weird and out of line, it made me think back to Hillary Clinton’s bullshit statement where she said “We all remember what happened to Bobby Kennedy in JUne…” It’s almost as if she was calling out to psychos to step up and murder him. And this McCain meltdown sure seems similar to Hillary’s crappy campaign end. It’s almost as if they throw in the towel and realize they can’t beat him, he can’t be beaten, he can’t be stopped. There’s only one way to stop him. I can’t be the only one catching these things I’m sure.

Here’s a pretty frightening video from the rally in Strongsville, Ohio. These are almost the SAME type of people we’re dealing with in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Yeah. Scary. You can almost see it in their eyes, what they’re really not saying. It’s all over their faces actually.

Back to the drawing board…

god I couldn’t finish watching those morons. I hate to call names, but dear god they are utter morons. If you truly have paid attention to politics you should have known of Obama back during the 2000 election seeing as he was getting attention then during the democratic conventions as the new ‘up and coming’ political voice. These people in that video are the epitomy of ‘bandwagoneers’ jumping onto the first thing they see that slightly resembles their warped viewpoints. Anyone who says they knew of Palin for more than the past 2months or so, is either a liar or had lived/known people in politics of Alaska.

“the bloodline” “The name, Obama??” Hmmm… wasn’t that the way things were said over all the “witchhunts”?? I recall:
IRISH people: “The bloodline” “the names”
Jewish people: “The bloodline” “the names”
Japanese people: I think you see the trend…

DJ won’t say it, I will:
    Translation of people in video:

WE ARE SCARED WHITE PEOPLE! Holly crap, we never had any OTHER color in the white house!!! What are you nuts?

I say, if Regan can run the country with beginning stages of Alzheimers, why not Obama, it can’t be that hard! Course, if you vote McCain, you might get to see another old guy run the country with Alzheimers. 8)

(What the hell was with that one lady, she seems to want a lot of attention!)

It is really shocking how many people here in Southwestern PA are actually terrified that if Obama wins he is going to turn the country over to the Muslims and enslave all the white folks. I guess sad too.

Did you see the Mike Mignola drawing on eBay of “Hellboy for Obama”. Wait till these loonies find out that the Beast of the Apocalypse is for Obama too…

Hey, DJ – on a totally unrelated note, how did you Sketch Card tryouts go?

When I got the link to this video today via twitter, I sat dumbfounded that there are so many people like this still running free in this country. After having some time to think about it, I think it’s a combination of fear and ignorance with a healthy dose of hatred. I grew up in the deep south and am quite thankful that I don’t have to be anywhere near my hometown this election year. I honestly don’t think I could stand the level of ignorance that I am sure matches or exceeds what we see in this video. You can hear all of the code words; bloodlines, names and the rabid devotion to the other party.
And one final thing, I don’t consider myself to be completely on top of politics and the news and I don’t consider myself to be completely out of touch either, but when McCain announced his VP choice my reaction was “Who?” When I was told she was governor of Alaska, again I asked “Who?” Conversely when I heard Obama’s name mentioned as running for President a couple years ago my reaction was “Isn’t he the Senator from Illinois?” and “Didn’t he speak at the convention last time?” So the people in this video just sadden me so much. It hurts me to think that we have come so far and still have so much farther to go.

  5. I love stupid people.
    They entertain me.

If I was so scared about what McCain and Palin could do in the next 4 years, I’d love to see them in the office just for the pure idiotic comedy that would ensue.
