Starting off here a note to supporters of Luigi: LUIGI DOES NOT WANT YOU POSTING ON HIS BEHALF and says it will cause him more trouble. See the end of this long ass post for details and his quotes…. moving on….

Luigi apologized via email for the anti-muslim and anti-obama remarks at 8:48pm:

Ok, so he apologized, and I took down the photo he referred to there, and I’ve made sure that his address and phone number were not posted because this really isn’t about going after the guy. (please refrain from that for now guys) – BUT… immediately after this, 20 minutes later, I start getting this slew of anonymous attacks in the comments around the site… here they are…

Well, “afriend”, you did get the phone right, but that’s my old address. I moved to Scottdale, PA 2 years ago. But what was the point? I’m a pretty public person and pretty easy to find online. I was curious to see… surely this wouldn’t be Luigi from Port Saint Lucie Florida after he just apologized to me. Surely he didn’t think by just getting another yahoo mail account he was no anonymous online, right??? So I tracked the IP there again… guess what?

Well, to give Luigi the benefit of the doubt, this address here, which I’m NOT going to post publicly here, is 8 miles away from Luigi’s home address. And said person just typed in all normal case… so to give him the benefit of the doubt, I’ll say it’s an angry friend, or it could be Luigi at a friend’s house? (I hope not, he apologized right?) — I mean, clearly this friend didn’t get the memo that this was going to be water under the bridge now that Luigi apologized and I took the one offending photo down? — Naw. I couldn’t get so lucky. A barrage of crazy-land insulting comment posts started coming from the SAME IP address….

Ok… let’s pause it right there for a second “aFriend”. I didn’t make up any lies about anyone, especially Luigi. In fact, i did the complete opposite, I simply exposed the truth. The facts are these…

  • Luigi posted some pretty hateful things against Muslims and Obama on my site.
  • I was offended so I emailed him back, and tracked his IP information.
  • I did a quick google search and found his myspace profile, meetup page and photos that made me laugh. I couldn’t believe this jolly looking old fellow was spewing this garbage and threats on my website.
  • I blogged about and reported it how it happened. Just like i’m doing now! Fun, huh?

Before I go on to speaking to “aFriend” of Luigi’s… I know this must be tough. Especially if you know the guy, this must seem unfair. But he typed it here. Hey, I was fair enough and made sure his personal address and phone weren’t on here, and after he apologized I even decided to take down the really crazy photoshop one I did because it did feel mean, although it was fucking hilarious.

I decided to email Luigi and give him the benefit of the doubt, even though half of me feels like he doesn’t deserve it. I told him that someone over on SW Dubois Ave in his town was posting some pretty libelous things on my site on his behalf… Luigi replied pretty quickly, he must have been near his computer….

Hurm… You know, I’m only giving Luigi the benefit of the doubt because there have been times where I got heated and said things online that I didn’t really mean or regretted later. Like the time I called this one lady a SWUNT and she got upset and tried to get me fired from my new job? But I never do it anonymously. Yeah, I’ve said some pretty dumb things. I called a guy a “pillow biter” once and I didn’t know it was a gay slur at the time, it’s what Bob always called me when referencing that I should shut up, But I happened to be saying it to a gay man, and he’s never forgiven me for it I don’t think. When I did find out it was pretty mean slur, I did immediately apologize and then i wondered if Bob secretly wanted me to bite a pillow, because he use to say that to me A LOT…. but I did learn to be careful and not repeat Bob, and to think a little about how I type things online and how they might come across to others….. But I digress….
I told Luigi I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He says he wasn’t good with computers, and I wondered how he had even found my site here in he abyss??? So weird! He replied…

And here’s the deal… TRUTH has become my hobby. I like getting to it. If you post something awful here, I’ll do my best to expose you and make you own what you said. — or just ban your IP and make sure you can’t post here again. It’s pretty easy either way. The first way is a lot more entertaining and fills up content. It also could land you in a bunch of trouble or shame.  Remember what Billy the Kid said in Young Guns? It applies here.
As it’s become clearer and clearer this politically charged season, I don’t have much patience for people spewing hatred around me, at my friends or neighbors, at my front door, into my front yard, in front of my kids, or on the blog here. And I don’t have much patience or respect for the people who will defend those people or the hateful things they’ve said. This begins and ends with Luigi and or people 8 miles from his house.

    I swear, at the rate new “insults” are being invented, pretty soon, when I say “DJ is a cool guy”, it will mean something totally different and get me banned for life.

    I really wish that people would stop changing English so fast. Pretty soon there will be “The queen’s English”, “Leet English.. sort of”, “Flower Power English” “Hip Hop Rapper barely English”, and from what I see here. “Gay English” Plus many more.

    I speak the queen’s english and a bit of Flower Power. Thanks to google, I can translate leet to queen’s.

    The irony is that by having to respond to these geniuses, you take time away from your own projects…and that gives them a minor victory.
    DJ, look at the massive amount of time you had to spend researching and replying to these maniacs. In the same amount of time you could have instead done about 20 Will Draws or a page of Flobots. Just sayin…

    A good point Darrell, but I actually type super fast, so it didn’t take me long to paste the comments in at all. As for researching, it was a simple IP search that takes seconds. I know it does look like an investigative report though! After spending an entire day drawing, it’s fun at night or in the morning to unwind and write a little blog.
