Flobots on Conan
Ok, it’s not often I geek out or brag about something I did that appeared somewhere, but this is friggin Conan O’Brien and the Flobots here! Last night my boys and girl appeared on the show, and Andy rocked out a custom CONAN shirt I made for him at the last minute. The idea, of course, was to satirize (in a good way) the whole Shephard Fairey Obama HOPE image we’re all pretty familiar with. Anywho, I’m really proud of my friends, and it’s so surreal to see something I drew on Late Night… Here are some pics
Woke up this morning with these behind the scenes pics from Andy…
Conan loved the shirt and wanted it, so Andy gave Conan the shirt right off his back. Because that’s how AndyRok rolls.
I woke up this morning to a bunch of emails and myspace postings asking me how to get the CONAN HOPE shirt because it was seen on the show. You can snag one here for a very limited time.
Catch the Flobots on tour in a city near you beginning again this week as they kick off their fall tour. Here are the October dates, along with my October tour poster!
Longtime friends of mine might also chuckle at the fact that this design appeared on October 13th.

Dude this is just awesome. I’ve got the show recorded but haven’t had the chance to watch it yet. I seriously need one of those October tour posters for my studio!
I need to get me a signed one!
They’ll have these at the venues for sale I do believe, and they usually hang around and sign stuff after the shows.
Might just have to pick up one of those shirts lol.
-Been a while since I dropped a comment here.
Very interesting indeed! Conan asked him for the shirt on air! I am gonna get me one too. Keep building the movement, thanks for all your dedication and hard work DJ!
Have you tried using http://www.redbubble.com/ for the shirt since Zazzle keeps taking it down?
That is officially HOLYSHITAWESOME.
Thanks for the link to redbubble. Zazzle is ass.
No Problem.
Awesome shirt! What about the rad Denver shirt Brer Rabbit is wearing? Where can I get one of those?!? I did google search but no avail…
Too bad you couldn’t get your “DJ Coffman” name on the shirt some how and then get it broadcast on Conan. Wouldn’t that get your hits up on here!
Come on DJ, get lucky, we all want to know a rich famous guy. You will do!
That is so frigg’n cool!:D
That Hope shirt was amazing.
@ denver shirt?
That’s the Lard Crew. you can see it as lardisfat.com
DJ, based on my experience, none of the “print-on demand” outlets will let you sell the shirt because Conan holds the rights to his own image and they are fearful of a lawsuit. Without some type of written release from Conan, you will probably have to go to a local printer. I currently use Cafe Press, and the only images they seem to allow are politicians [Obama, McCain, etc.] They must see these as public domain somehow.
Sorry to hear Zazzle is the ass. I haven’t been wild about Cafe Press and have been shopping around because I though C/P’s base prices were too high. Let me share my research, using a men’s white tee shirt as the basis:
Zazzle lists their base price [you add your mak-up to this] for tee shirts as $15.95 and up.
Cafe Press’ base price ranges from $8.99 to 16.99 with a mid quality shirt at $14.99

Redbubble, which I just heard of here, has a base price of $19.95. It was hard as hell to find their base prices, but I found these in FAQ.

I have been leaning to Customdropshipper. There tee shirt base prices range from $8.99 to 11.99. They also offer some cool products no one else seems too…

Sorry this is so long, but I hope it helps.
So cool. Congrats and kudos!
can i get this image as a big poster?
[...] Esta es la imagen que motivó mi búsqueda al verla en Late Night with Conan O’Brien (Vestida por un integrante de la banda Flobots). [Diseñado por D.J. Coffman] [...]
Just got the t-shirt and wore it to a quick trip to Kroger. People laughed out loud as they passed me and sait “love the t-shirt” great job. I’m wearing it to vote tomorrow.
