Pay attention in class!
I got a call from my son’s math teacher this morning. He’s sort of spacing out in Math class and not paying attention. He hates math. I think he’s a little unorganized so I went and bought him a better folder for school to get organized with. I drew his name on the one tab all decked out, and I put a Darth Vader on the sleeve to remind him he should be paying attention. (the photo has a weird digital slice in it, but you get the idea…)

My nephew doesn’t like math either. I wish schools would realize that most people only need a certain degree of understanding to get them through life. At that age it is obvious or not if they will be a rocket scientist or math genius.
Schools should focus more on individual talents and stop wasting so much precious learning time on nonsense.

It’s really too bad that there isn’t a book out there like _Math Doesn’t Suck_ for the male audience. (I was going to recommend that title for your son, then remembered it was geared toward girls. *sigh*)
